The sun sets on another day…
Music and magnificence were the eve as the sounds of a small band echoed outside the book event I attended today. The sun slowly fell on the horizon, and well, it was nice!
I only have a few items left in the list posted by a friend that covers suggestions for a daughter. I have been considering the items and writing them for any child and trying to decide if they are valid. In my opinion anything is valid if it is opinion, but to apply to a larger group it needs to be suitable for everyone in that group. Tonight’s message is: “No matter where you are, you can always come home.”
You know, years ago my father said this to me, and my question was simple, “Where is home.” His answer was haunting, home is where your family is. My Grandparents said similar, “Home is wherever you feel home is, where your family is and you are safe.” As I considered this, to me it is 100% true. My children always have a place with me. I may not solve all their issues, but they will always be able to eat, and always be able to have a warm home to sleep in.
Sounds good, I don’t want to belabor or bore the point.
So as the sun sets on another day, if your children need you, that should always be able to come home, not because they want to, but because they have to. Give them what they need to help them up, then let them find their way to a better place, no matter what. My opinion.
Sleep sweet, love life, and love you kids too!
