Climbing the door…

The sun sets on another day…

The snow keeps coming. It has been a light winter up to now, and now, well, it is getting its revenge. Where a few moths ago I was seeing water, now I see snow, slowly climbing the sliding glass door. It is a testament tot he door to hold the cold and the snow at bay, and as the night falls, and the temperatures go even lower I smile at the crystals falling from the sky. Is it bad? No, but some people would see it that way. Instead I see the beauty of the climb, and the magic in the moment.

There are a lot of things we take for granted in life. Sometimes we take for granted that things are taken for granted. It can be mind boggling to try to determine all the potential things that may mean something until they smack us in the face. After all, you don’t realize what you have lost, well, until you have lost it. You also don’t always see the beauty in things until you appreciate the easy things in front of you. There is beauty everywhere and it is the little things that count. A lot of little things.

Take a walk, talk to someone, smile once in a while, talk about nothing, laugh, but find those little things that matter and make them yours.

So as the sun sets on another day, there are so many possibilities for a smile daily. There are so many things that can make your day better if you stop looking at them as negatives, and see the positive. In the end, the world will be a better place if we see the seagull and appreciate its beauty, and see the snow, and realize it too is pretty. Look for the snow climbing the door, and appreciate it, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, smile when you can, and look for beauty everywhere…
