The sun sets on another day…
The sunset was striking, and a few moments away from paradise. The weather was what it should be, and the cool breeze was inviting now instead of chilling. I stood on the side of the house, watching birds rush to the feeders, and was lost for a moment in the peace that overcame me.
You know, sometimes we get lost in time for a moment and it seems to bend around us. Maybe it is just me, but I have talked to many people who say similar. The instants are more instant, or they seem to last forever. Today was one of those moments where I thought I was there staring at the sky for a long time, and instead it was only a few minutes. It is strange how we perceive time, and stranger when you are in that moment between awake and asleep, and a few seconds can seem like hours, or vice versa.
Maybe we need to capitalize on it sometimes. After all there are a lot of fun things that should last longer. Imagine all the possibilities, and all the excitement you could have, just if you made time last a little longer. After all, time is the constant we cannot seem to change.
So as the sun sets on another day, take a moment, enjoy that moment, be a part of that moment and if it is a good moment, make it last if you can. Make every day the best day you can make it, and enjoy all the time you have, no matter what.
