The sun sets on another day…
(I wrote about similar here.)
Sunset was amazing but moon rise even more so tonight. I watched from the car as the moon slowly rose and I giggled inside. Why? Just because!
I try every day to hold on to the youth I once had. I know, we all say we do, but there are things inside that pull us every way except in the way we probably should be going. Where might that be? Good question.
I suggest maybe we don’t embrace our inner child enough. Maybe we play a little sometimes, maybe we let out hearts go from time to time but it seems, and this is “seems” that as we embrace being older, we become older. Now I am not saying that if you think young you will suddenly be young, but I am saying that if you are young at heart, maybe the world won’t look so bad.
I know I know, there are lots of reasons to be an old grouch. Something was not fun, something hurts, there is a struggle, people don’t see you, people see you too much. All of these things are definitely in play. Maybe, just maybe, a lighter heart will help you through anything, or at least not let it bring you down further. If you want to read something fun that may put you to sleep go here. (I enjoyed it)
I will keep this short and sweet, mainly because I added a lot of reading. Take a moment, look at how you see the world, and maybe have some fun with it. Embrace the youth you have, find some you don’t have, but find the light heart and innocence that will get you through the day a little happier, a little less stressed. (We can hope)
So as the sun sets on another day, well, stop being old. Hmm, doesn’t work. How about stop thinking old? Stop looking for reasons to be angry, or irritated, let go, and play a little kick the can for me. In the end, the world is a place that you just have to live with, smile, be part of it, and enjoy the moments, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and have some candy in between…
