Observational perspective…

The sun sets on another day…

There is something to be said for looking at anything from all sides. If you look at a woodpecker you might wonder why it is eating birdseed from a  feeder, well, any thoughts?

It is so easy to see anything from your perspective, and many people are good at it. Some maybe too good at it. As you look out on the plain of life you may find that you are unique in your understanding of issues. you may speak from absolutes and decide you know what is real, and what is not so real, but, and this is a big but and I cannot lie, there may well be things you do not know.

I have been quoted from many years ago saying a 10 meg hard drive was more than enough for anything. Looking at it right now, that is a silly statement, but looking at the information I had at the time, it was correct. Well, it was a perspective based on current observations.

This is why talking about something from a personal point of view is sometimes difficult, people observe, they gain perspective, but they may have no common information. In fact, they may well have less information about a situation than their point of view suggests. A good example is someone watching a tennis match thinking they are a tennis expert, that has never played the game.

Anyway, it can be maddening if you don’t consider that you may only have part of the story, so consider a larger picture before you make a small statement.

So as the sun sets on another day, perspective is such a big picture, and observation a small one, maybe. Consider well the perspectives you may have, and consider a winder picture of the world. Oh, and why does a woodpecker eat birdseed from a feeder? Because it is hungry!

Sleep sweet, smile at life, and love to the moon and back…
