The sun sets on another day…
If I was a negative person I would have called this misconceptions, but instead I would like to focus on those things we believe and are true, instead of those we believe and find to be less that true.
It is funny. We have all been treated poorly at some point in our lives but some people take a road where they believe the good in people, and some take the other side. I try to expect the best out of people but I am aware of the worst. Sometimes this works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Usually when it doesn’t I have opened up, and let people close only to find they had other ideas. When it works though, I have made some really great friends.
How do you handle the world? Are your days full of those people who you trust and have few walls up, or are you one of those people who sees walls as important in life, keeping everyone at bay, including yourself. You know, when we put up walls, they keep others from seeing, but they keep us from seeing too.
So as the sun sets on another day, I feel that we should looks for what is real in people. We should perceive, good or bad, people for who they are, and in the process we should open our minds to possibilities for fun, happiness, and maybe a little more, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, open your mind, but not with a can opener…
