The sun sets on another day…
I sat as the sunset, sore, but full of excitement; Tired, but full of life; weary but feeling positive. The clear sky made the sunset spectacular, but I was again online, playing games with kids.
I dug holes with a post hole digger today, setting fence posts for the garden, Last year the garden was pretty simple. Six feet by twelve feet and it still produced a lot of food. This year the garden is 32×16. Not huge, but for few people this is a lot. Next year who knows. The issue is there are lots of fun little critters who would like to eat as well, so a fence is necessary. Today, and I worked my chest and arm digging holes I mused ver the foundations we use to build our walls. Good foundations save us a lot of frustration, but walls that are too good keep use from getting in and out of them. There’s that balance thing again.
My suggestion is to take your time. If you don’t need walls don’t build them, but if you do make sure the foundations are strong and you can get in and out easily. After all, we all need in sometimes.
So as the sun sets on another day, as for me, considering I hit water in less than 2 feet, I think there will be some big cucumbers and tomatoes coming, and maybe a bunch of other stuff. (If I can finish the rest of the fence. I look forward each day to the adventure sin our interesting new world, and hope we all make it to the other side, no matter what.
