The sun sets on another day…
There it was. The dark skies lightened and parted, the sun broke through, the wind blew and the rain began to dry up, and then there was peace. As the sun set, the rain and storm and darkness of the past few days became a memory and I knew that soon the landscape would be covered with life as the temperatures rose.
Peace.
It is a unique viewpoint right now, and even more unique for someone to actually live it. Peace is tough, and in today’s world peace is so varied that many people just can’t see how anyone can have peace. I am reminded of a letter sent to me a long time ago about peace, and the key ingredient was to be at peace with yourself and your decisions. The world can be chaos around us, but peace is something we can always achieve for just us.
So as the sun sets on a great and amazing day, I had a moment of peace, a moment where I felt good about the past several days and today, and in that moment, hey, it was a good thing. Find your moment, live your moment, and embrace peace wherever you can, no matter what.
