The sun sets on another day…
As it sets I am overcome. Emotions run rampant and all I can share is the words from a song that means a lot. No, it is not the words that will carry you, but the tune that will rend your soul if you understand what it means.
Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
Fading light, dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night.
Thanks and praise, for our days,
‘Neath the sun, ‘neath the stars, neath the sky;
As we go, this we know, God is nigh.
Sun has set, shadows come,
Time has fled, Scouts must go to their beds
Always true to the promise that they made.
While the light fades from sight,
And the stars gleaming rays softly send,
To thy hands we our souls, Lord, commend.
So as the sun sets on another day, I know I know, not a normal post, but sometimes you have to feel, and I feel very deeply. I hope your day was the best day ever, and if not, lets make it the best day ever. After all, as the sun sets in the western sky, we can appreciate the beauty, the power, and the purity of the sunset, and in that find a little truth and happiness to guide our day, no matter what.
