Treefall…

The sun sets on another day…

Sunset was grand and glorious, but I was focused on clearing trees and making sure I got wood stacked. Still, it was a good time!

At the current time I could cut down 5 trees a day and not notice an impact for weeks. I am thinning a lot of trees because they have fallen, died, or are ready to fall soon for some other reason. There were so many packed into the area that it was just time. The sheer number was killing the new and the old alike, simply from lack of sun.

There is a lesson here somewhere. Perhaps that sometimes you have to cut out the old to build better foundations, or trim some in order to get where you are going. No matter what the lesson the answer is simple: keep working and eventually it will get better. No matter how thick the forest, perseverance will cut it down over time.

I like that idea, and the idea that eventually, everything will be healthier because we decided to thin it all out.

So as the sun sets on another day, enjoy yo9ur days and nights. If you have too much, thin it out a little and eventually it will all be healthy. You can doo it if you try, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love deeply, and enjoy your time…
