The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was, well, cloudy again. I watched from the car and finally, when nothing came, drove away smiling at my fortune.
It is the small wins that build a big life. Sure, the big wins feel good, but the small winds take us to new heights without all the hubbub and silliness as the big ones. Yeah, sure, you say. I would rather have my Porsche and eat cake too. The trick is to look at the wins in life as wins, and see that the world can be won by small moments, and smaller steps.
I had a lot of fantastic ideas when I was younger. I have found plans and goals that are astounding, even still. I have plans for an ionized barrier, a great house built into a hill (Very much like the one I describe in my books) and a series of AI pieces of code that are still quite unique. I had those big wins and no technology to build them. Still, I can look at the small wins in my life and realize that I have achieved a great deal. I have traveled the world and seen things many people may never see; I have spoke to multitudes about technology; I have written so much, and enjoyed the writing all the way; I have loved deeply even after being destroyed by love. All this and a lot more.
What are your small wins? I know you have had them today, think about it. Even if it means your small win is you are still alive, that is a win, embrace it, make it yours, and build on it every day.
So as the sun sets on another day, we all win, we just have to see it that way. Start looking for the wins in your life and the losses, no matter how big, will always be overrun. Be the power that each of us needs, and make your day special, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep on winning…
