The sun sets on another day…
I watched sunset from a fire as I cleared yet another series of limbs. The sky was lit by wonderful and exciting lights, and I was in awe of the moments and all the pieces of light cascading across the western sky.
An old movie gave us the riddle of steel. It is a harsh series of lessons that a seeker goes through in a rather cheesy movie that shows us that love is stronger than death; passion can drive your to survive anything; that friendship is the strongest thing in the world, and that steel is nothing without the hand that wields it.
We often forget that we are responsible for all the good and all the bad in our lives. Sure, there are things on the outside but we decide how we will interpret and respond to them. We are the ultimate deciders for, well, us.
I am often saddened by people who are treated poorly. There are huge stories behind it but I wonder often why they stay, why they let themselves be treated poorly and why they lose faith in themselves. Sure, there are reasons, and often lots of good ones but in the end we can wield our lives and find the courage to rise above if it is what we want. It is there that I hope we find a way. It is there I hope we rise above and find our inner passion, and eventually our inner peace.
I could explain further but suffice it to say, you are awesome. You are, you can make a difference in anyone’s life, or in your own.
So as the sun sets on another day, steel is weak, what is steel compared to the hand that wields it? We have the passion and prowess to make a difference in our lives, lets do so today and every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and wield your day well…
