Faith and passion…

The sun sets on another day…

Sunset was a series of cascading reds in a near blue sky. The sunset was the end to a spectacular day while it was also an opening to a wonder filled night.

Faith is a disputed word often. A scriptural definition would be “Faith is the assurance that the things revealed and promised in the Word are true, even though unseen, and gives the believer a conviction that what he expects in faith, will come to pass”. I have heard faith defined as “Believing when logic tells you not to” but that is not always right either. Maybe it is, or maybe it is not but the end thought is that faith is strong belief without necessarily having a provable reason to believe.

Passion is another often disputed word. By definition it is a near uncontrollable emotion. Something so strong it drives you more that just other emotions, something amazing. If you feel passion you certainly know it and you can have passion for many things, but usually those things are important to you.

I had the privilege to attend a wedding last night between Abby and Logan, my step son and his new fantastic wife. The room was filled with family and friends that saw a passion between two young individuals that was obvious. Those two young people have faith in each other and their families to be successful in life and marriage, and I believe they will as not only do they have faith in each other but that faith is driven by their passion to do more, be more, and be together.

In this I believe passion can drive faith and gives faith more impetus to succeed. After all, faith without that passion may be empty and falter, but faith with the fire of our belief, the passion of our resolve, will succeed. I do not say this can and may be challenged, but if you have passion for your faith in anything it is driven by you, and success will come if it is not there already.

As for two new people in the bliss of matrimony, there will be trials and tribulations, there will be amazing times, there will be challenging times, but with their faith in each other, and their passion to succeed, they will find a way. I do not just have faith in this, I see it in their eyes.

So as the sun sets on another day, have faith in the things that are important but drive these with your passion. Whether it is your love, you life, your hobby, or your religion, be passionate each day and create a world filed with possibilities driven by you. It is here you will succeed, and here I believe in you, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love with passion, live with faith…
