The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was wonderful as a ball of yellow light slowly descended into the west. There was an absence of clouds and the world seemed to be at peace. I found myself lost in that orb for a moment and considering the world.
There is an old movie called “Short Circuit” that got lost in my head for a moment. In the movie a robot becomes alive (Just go with it) and at one point the main character if guiding the robot. She does this by saying “Forward” over and over and it is a funny scene that get to the right place.
Somewhere I was lost this evening in the idea of always moving forward. The idea of “Semper Dienceps,” finding a way, and worrying about continuing and not the past. I have said over and over that we should not whine about the past or pine over the future and, in doing so, define ourselves each day, but in that definition, we should always push forward. After all, forward gives us momentum and forward opens our minds. Forward takes us somewhere, anywhere, and everywhere.
Are you considering a forward path? Are you waiting for something to come to you or are you finding something all the time and making the world a better place? Do you see the world as a place to explore and learn from, or is the world just that place that stores your place?
I would like to think we can all learn each day. I would like to think we can explore each day, and I would like to move forward. I was supposed to be in a new city tomorrow and a conflict took that from me. I sit now considering how it would have been a new series of experiences, a new series of people, and mostly a path forward as I always push for. I will find a way to get there and keep learning all the time.
So as the sun sets on another day, consider well the direction you take. Consider how you find your way, and push forward each day to new frontiers, new experience, and new friends, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and forward…
