It wasn’t me…

The sun sets on another day…

I looked out over Muskegon Lake and watched the sun set slowly in the western sky. The clear day had given way to an amazing sunset and much reflection.

After talking to someone a short time ago I thought about all of the things that were holding me back. Whether it be pain or other I was not being me. I considered for a moment and then stopped considering.

How many times do we focus on our limitations and not the unlimited person we can be? How many times do we sit back and allow ourselves to stop ourselves?

I’m not going to say that pain, both physical and mental, don’t hold us back. They do. I am going to say that we have an opportunity every moment of the day to be more and to do more. We have an opportunity push past and focus on the good and make it real.

With that in mind I will find a way past and I hope you do too. Set aside the things that are holding you back and find a way to be who you are and not what external forces are shaping you to be.

So as the sun sets on another day let’s find a way to enjoy this. Not because of anything else except to be the person that we can be and we want to be each and every day. I hope you find the fortitude to make this day yours and as the sun rises in the morning make that day yours as well, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love with passion, and you got this..
