The sun sets on another day…
I saw the sunset from afar and I enjoyed it’s waning light, I found my center as I drove and as darkness became night, the sun was setting and I loved it all as I went upon my way, tomorrow morning when I wake it will be at wondrous day.
There is an old movie starring Clint Eastwood that repeats the phrase over and over that a man has got to know his limitations. As I wandered through the day and thought about all of the things I’ve ever done I disagreed with that thought. A man does not necessarily need to know his limitations but we all need to know who we are and how far we can go.
I talked to a woman today and she told me about her plans for tomorrow. She had goals of writing books and traveling the world but she had to wait at least another year until she retired. As we talked I asked her what was keeping her from doing these things today and she struggled to answer. It was not that there was a clear reason except that he didn’t think she could do very much that was fun until retirement came.
How many times do we avoid making our world better and enjoying life as we wait for a tomorrow. Tomorrow may be another day but it is not promised and as we progress everyday can be a precious moment for us to hold on to forever. Consider this well as you pass things by and wait for another day. Today should be the day that you enjoy your life and enjoy your moments.
So as the sun sets on another day I hope you find a path that allows you to love life every moment and as you do so make your memories spectacular. Today is a day to enjoy and be amazed by, don’t matter what.
