The sun sets on another day…
I watched the sunset with pensive eyes as I looked towards another day and all of the moments that will come forward. I have much to think about and much to write about and all of it revolves around people. As the magnificent orange enveloped the western sky I was at peace and the world was a little bit better place.

I met some fantastic people today. I’m not sure what they all thought about me, but I listen to closely and I learned. I always feel honored when people share with me and today I learned of a family fleeing oppression that became successful, a woman who faced death and may still, and another woman who may struggle for a while. I watched a child face thier fear, and listen to others simply enjoy the day. I also had a good discussion with someone who had read my book and a second discussion with someone else who just finished the first in the Masterson Files series.
People are wonderful, people change the world, people face trials and tribulations, and people are always part of the solutions.
Along the way I got to experience passion with people. As I have defined many times, passion is near uncontrollable emotion. It is not attached to any one emotion but instead can be applied to all of them. You can apply passion to love, devotion, happiness, sadness, despair, anger, and joy. All this and much more.
I was amazed today at the passion that people showed about the little things and perhaps a little more. The devoted parent, the devoted wife or husband, the family that loved and more. There is a twinkle in a person’s eyes when they feel passionate and all you can do is enjoy and be excited by it. Passion is not easily quelled and those people who have passion are often the people that find the way when others don’t see it.
I wish people could see through my eyes and see their passion flowing from them. I wish people could listen to themselves and see the hope that they have and can create. Mostly I wish people could realize how special they are for even taking a moment to share.
Today I met a young lady who talked to me for a reasonable amount of time. We talked about a lot of different items and as we did she drifted in and out in the waves of the ocean. There was a lot to her life and a lot that she had experienced, some of it good, some of it not so good. In the end the twinkle in her eye was just for being alive and for having overcome some difficult situations.
Our passion for life can get us through anything and this woman was an example of that. A loss is not a defeat but perhaps it is a doorway to find a way to do more, to be more, and to achieve far more.
Do you let your passion drive you? Does your passion find a way to overcome even the worst obstacles? Do you realize how special you are?
So as the sun sets on another day, find your passion and live it. Reach past what others cannot see. Push forward when no one else understands. Overcome, even when no one thinks you can. Your passion can drive you if you only let it. Find the way and be part of the way, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and thank you…
