The sun sets on another day…
It was cold. A cold sunset but beaty was everywhere in the cold. I smiled at the irony of it all, the sun’s heat warming us all, only to be replaced with cold and more cold. Still, the oranges and reds floated and flitted in the air, and the world was red and orange as it faded to grey.
I went down a rabbit hole with Life. No, not life, but Life the magazine and the mission of the magazine compared to the item in the movie “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”. This movie is a stunning ride through both reality and imagination, and the messages are clear.
Life is meant to be lived.
Henry Luce’s full vision for Life was: “To see life; to see the world; to eyewitness great events; to watch the faces of the poor and the gestures of the proud; to see strange things… to see and be amazed.
The movie made it a little easier: To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life.
In the end, the goal is to enjoy life, to see life, and to live life. We have an opportunity to go farther and do more than ever before and we need to set aside our social media platforms and the daydreams and start living life.
As the years before me continue to dwindle and the years behind me feel ohh so rich, I find myself wanting to squeeze every moment out of life and to enjoy every second I have.
How about you? Do you find your way into living or are you waiting for something to help you live more. It sounds like an easy question but a lot of people aren’t living their lives to the level they could. Just my opinion.
So as the sun sets on another day, love hard and live hard. Find your way into adventure, and live the most magnificent dreams that you can because their realities, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and be spectacular…
