The sun sets on another day…
Sunset had begun to fall as I walked into the theater. There was a beauty in it even though a storm had come and gone all day. Fast clouds rippled across the horizon and Light bounced behind them like innocent little twinkles waiting to be set free. It was a good night. Even though I really could not talk well.
It’s interesting how much writers are overlooked. All of the content that we see on television and movies is born from a writer. All of the content in print, a writer again. The speech is being told by politicians and non-politicians still fall upon the writers. Words seem to be everywhere but so many people do not pay attention to the words being used or where they actually come from.
There are authors like Stephen King that everyone knows. But other authors that only a few are aware of. Do you know who authored your favorite movie? Does it mean anything to you to know the work that they put in to create what you enjoyed?
Tonight I watched a wonderful movie that I expected nothing from. So many movies I walk into and they are highly predictable and shallow. I’m happy when I’m surprised and even happier when I learn the twists and turns that’s so often are missed. The writers did that and the writers do quite well. The movie has focus on a writer and how that writer made a difference to an important person. I find myself smiling for that and hoping that someday more writers will be recognized.
There are many great independent authors and the exceptional number of non-independent authors. In spite of the stigma that is sometimes out there it doesn’t really matter as long as you write. People that discount one over the other aren’t paying attention to the achievement of a mind that can sit down for long enough to put out an entire world. I hope you can appreciate that and I hope that author is realize they have a gift.
So as the sun sets on another day, enjoy a movie, enjoy a book, enjoy a poem, enjoy sharing ideas with others and learning something new everyday. Find your way to an exciting happiness always, no matter what.
