The sun sets on another day
The haze made the sunset overly fantastic. I should say hazetastic. The best sunsets are created by water vapor and pollution. The refraction is just cool.
I sing the song Bare Necessities to myself from time to time. It always makes me happy thinking about minimalistic ideas. I don’t live them as often as I should. Imagine a world where we can all afford what we wanted. Imagine a world we bought only what we needed.
I thought about that a lot and I really don’t want to get into it as it could become a quasi-political piece of crazy, but it’s not always as it seems. Do we really need more than just a hand to hold and a person to support us? The answer to that is yes because we do need food water oxygen and US host of other things to survive, but there’s a lot of things that we really don’t need.
Think about what’s special to you. Think about what you actually need compared to what you want. Think about the people in your life and who you need to support you, then who do you want.
It’s a fun series of thoughts.
So as the sun sets on another day, think about what you need. Your wants are good, but your needs how far more important. Consider this as you fall asleep and I hope you want a good night’s sleep because you need it, no matter what.
