The sun sets on another day…
There was Beauty in the sunset but more beauty in the interactions with my grandchildren as we played in the slides. I watched outside as the sky slowly faded to its inevitable closing. I smiled at the fantasticness of the day.
I started my day very positively. I walked the dog at a new park that I had never visited before. It was noted as a hiking trail, and it was set up as such but the way it was done was far better than most of the trails that I interact with. I found myself laughing and walking on near perfect wooden planks over streams and along a path that kept nature safe and people on a good line to walk and play.
I was surprised when this opened up and I was suddenly at a lake with multiple fishing platforms everywhere, and a series of launches for kayaks and small boats. I watched a kayaker pedal across and enjoy their day as well. It was amazing and it was wonderful.
Sometimes that’s all it takes. All we really need to do is take a few minutes and unwind somewhere special. I found myself feeling a little bit better and enjoying a whole lot more. Everyone has their special place and I appear to have a lot of them. All you have to do is find that place where you feel at peace, feel comfortable, feel appreciated, or feel like you.
So as the sun sets on another day, find your special place and enjoy it. Find the fantastic moments and make them yours. You are the best possible you and the only you that you can be. Make the world yours, no matter what.
