The sun sets on another day…
The chill in the air felt good as the sun slowly descended in the western sky. I was at once at peace and in awe of all that was going on, and I enjoyed the moments and perhaps a little more.
Your mind is where you spend the most time in your life. It is a perpetual home to all you do, all you experience. Why then would you want to make it anything less than a perfect place to be? Why do so many good people get lost and the ideas that everything is so bad?
I think we have to take a step back to all of this and realize that we are what we want to be. In spite of the idea that everything can be blamed on something that happened to us, we should often realize that we have complicity at bare minimum and complete blame at maximum in making our lives the way they are. It is easy to blame the horrible mother, the wicked stepmother, the abusive father, the man at the end of the street, the clowns that terrorize us in the night, or a dozen other things that could have made us filled with fear Or filled with dread and embracing the negatives of life.
On the other hand, there are a lot of people that have had significant good times in their life ignore and completely the possibilities of positivity. When you think about things are you looking for the negatives or for the positives? When you’re in your mind are you thinking about the best way things can be or the worst way things can be?
If we acknowledge that your mind is your home shouldn’t we try to keep the place clean? Shouldn’t we try to make our minds a temple where no negativity can intrude?
Of course there are bad things in the world, but we make a difference every day. Let’s try to have a good life, a good mind, and make a difference to ourselves.
So as the sun sets on another day, make every day an amazing day. You are worth it. You are the best. In your mind you should always be the best, no matter what.
