The sun sets on another day…
I watched the sky shift in the trees, and the world seemed complete for a moment. I could not imagine a world so incomplete without the beauty of a sunset.
Today was a fun day. I love events where I can interact with people and see the different personalities come out. Whether adults or children it is amazing to see how excited a person can get just to have some one pay attention to them.
One of the many people who came by today was a young man carrying a bag of popcorn. As he walked up I walked to him and thanked him for being so sweet to bring me popcorn. At first he looked at me stunned, then broke out laughing and opened the bag. I didn’t really want popcorn so he didn’t have to share but we did share some time together and he told me all about his ventures and about his dream of helping people find their way when they were lost.
Another woman talk to me about her life and yet another started crying when she saw the title of one of my books. We talked for a moment about how people try to help and sometimes get lost along the way. We talked and then at the end she asked for a hug and she and her husband went on their way still with a tear in her eye.
How we interact with people gives us the ability to enjoy life and to help others enjoy life. I hope you can take a moment and realize how fantastic that is.
So as the sun sense on another day, don’t be afraid. Find the people that are there and help them see a better world. Not a world driven by news and initiatives that mean little or nothing to you, better world where people can interact and enjoy one another’s company and find a way to be whole. You can change the world one person at a time if you want to, no matter what.
