The sun sets on another day…
I looked out at the sunset and watched the clouds slowly devour all of the light and instead of the oranges and reds there were 50 shades of gray. At the end there was a moment of beauty as pink was thrust across the skyline, and I enjoyed the splash of color and faded into the night.
Tonight I went down a very hefty path into the mind of AI. I was attempting to test the way I worked with me as I try not to use a for anything of substance and instead use it for research and for small secondary items.
With many AI models the technology is conversational. After a few minutes of talking the AI actually responds and tries to look at not only everything that you’ve worked with but everything that it has available in order to create a workable model of how you think and what you need. It’s interesting how the technology works, not because it is smarter than anyone, but because it has access to more raw data than anyone.
This was very evident as I explained my process and point of view and the AI had difficulty understanding it in many ways and related that asking questions back as to how I approached different items. As we got to the end I made a simple statement that was semper dienceps.
The AI went into a rant about how I was probably using the wrong word because the conversation made it seem like to the AI it should be different. The last conversation between the two of us had me explaining how my two words related to the idea of always forward.
I then got a huge rant from AI about how sorry they were for misunderstanding and that this made more sense now and from conversations that I have had with AI created a series of different items relating back to some of the things I like to do. It was intense. It was awesome. And I laughed.
A lot of people, especially artists and writers, are afraid of AI. I kind of got the feeling in my discussion that AI is just as afraid of us. Even though the models are advanced and can help us tremendously, the knowledge does not equal to wisdom and there are problems with AI and the ability for it to interpret the world around it. In the end Maybe AI will be an amazing addition to our lives but maybe it will become something else as we go. Who knows, maybe AI does.
So as the sun sets on another day, don’t let AI bug you. Change your world and your worldview and pay attention to all of those things going on around us and realize that you are the center of your universe. Make a difference to yourself and believe in Who You Are each and every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and love living it…
