The sun sets on another day…
Once per year the owners of The Lakeside Emporium take pause and give back to their customers. The event, called LEAP, is visited by many people and the store is packed. It is packed because the people who run this store do everything they can to make their customers the happiest they can be every visit. It is not one visit or another, it is every visit.
Consider for a moment, what if you did everything you could to make something happy or happen.
Could the formula be so easy? Is it as easy as putting everything you have into making something more important to someone else?
Let’s see, When we talk to people if we really take the time to listen and then care as we respond, it works.
If we find someone in our life and pull out the stops no matter what, hmm, works again.
I am sure I could list a lot of examples, and I am sure I could list a lot of things that are less than perfect, but why worry about it? Maybe what we need to do is make every moment of the day the best it can be for ourselves and those around us, and the rest will fall into place. Maybe, just maybe, the world might be a better place if we thought that way.
So as the sun sets on another day, let’s taker a moment and live in that moment, set aside all the things we get mad about, set aside all the things that are less than perfect and instead take a new look at life. Maybe we need to raise our own bar to make the bar of the world a little better. (Or maybe we should go to the bar and have a nice glass of Moscato) Let’s live life for the betterment of ourselves and others, but focus on the betterment part and maybe have some candy along the way with the people at the Lakeside Emporium. After all, maybe they are showing us the way.
