The sun sets on another day…
I took a look at the world today. My eyes opened to possibilities. People walked to and fro as I watched. Many were lost in their own little worlds as they became absorbed in electronics, but something different happened. Today as I saw people entering the art fair in Holland Michigan I watched as they put down their phones and spent time with each other. As they walked into the Michigan Authors at the Lakeshore event, they too set aside everything and became a part of a smaller world, a worked where people interacted and the trivial items faded away.
I have presented around the world about technology and presented specifically a long running series on the smaller world created by newer tech, social media, and modified communication practices, but it warms my heart to see people talking, people interacting and people seeing the world as a better place.
So as the sun sets on another day, take a minute, set aside everything on the internet, and for a moment be part of a new group, the group that likes to interact and be a part of a smaller world, a smaller world of exciting people live you. Enjoy others as you can, and find a bit of a happy place, no matter what.
