The Sun sets on another day…
It is always amazing to me the variety of people in the world. Each day I meet new and exciting people and all of them have their own stories to tell. There are many people in the world that feel their stories are not important. I, on the other hand, feel that everyone’s story is more important than anything else in the world. Whether you are black, white, green, or purple, rich, poor, leader, follower, you have a story to tell.
As we are the sum of all of our experiences many of us have very exciting stories to tell. I have known so many people that deserve to have their stories told and to leave a legacy for their children. Sometimes they have prepared little or even nothing to pass on. I was lucky. My father left me a very heavy legacy of many many writings, many many events, and a lot of people who thought he was a great person. This left me with very large shoes to fill, but I am pressing everyday to make certain that I leave a lasting legacy for my children as he did for me, and a positive impression for others who are important to me.
I am reminded of a quote from the movie Secondhand Lions. One of the main characters spoke of love and passion like it was the most important thing ever and as his story was told it was an amazing adventure and love story that can inspire us all. In the end, the story was something special the nephew took forward for his life as well.
So as the Sun sets on another day think about the story you leave for your children, your family, your friends, and everyone else that looks up to you and try to leave it for them all in a way that they can cherish it forever.
Sleep sweet, love life, and wish upon every sunset that tomorrow will be even better than today…
