The sun sets on another day…
The first sign of spring is a thaw and buds for flowers all over. The first sign of fall may well be the opening of Spirit Halloween stores everywhere.
I was giggling and laughing as I considered all that will be around the corner soon, and in the process I enjoyed seeing these stores open everywhere. So today is summer, but around the corner could be anything. Anything at all.
Personally I will be putting this down as a strange year filled with twists and turns, but the ride is the fun of getting anywhere, so I am good with it. In my opinion it is not how well you avoid the punches, but how well you take them when they land, and I have felt a few over the last several years. How about you?
Can you laugh in the face of potential demise? Can you lose important parts of your life and see the upside to any of them? Is it easier to say “This will work” or “I am done”?
Yeah yeah, it is hard to know what is around the corner, it could be a big scary monster, but it could also be an ice cream sundae or a new door to open. This door could be somewhere amazing.
So as the sun sets on another day, I am going to keep turning those corners. Some days will be good, and some not so good, but in the end, the days will keep going and I will enjoy them. Take a moment, realize that every day is a gift and set aside everything bad and make your day as good, no matter what.
