The sun sets on another day…
Six inches of snow later it is time to put a year to rest. I do so with open eyes, open arms, and an open mind.
How about you?
A lot of people have New Years Resolutions. They set goals they may or may not keep. The set the future in motion and try to make it a future that will mean more to them. They worry about weight, about money, about all sorts of things. Are you setting such goals?
If so I can give you two good ones you should consider.
You should be the best you that you can be. This means a lot of different things to a lot of people. suffice it to say it is time to set aside the petty and be you. Not a little you but the best you that you can be. Define it, make it work, set a few goals and don’t talk about them, post them on Facebook, or look for acceptance from anyone but yourself, just do them.
You should share happiness. Now this is a tough one. Find a way to share your happiness with others. You know what, that means you have to be happy. I feel, strongly in fact, if you share happiness that you will find more happiness, and it will just be there.
That’s it. Oh sure, you can come up with better, and dozens of goals, the problem with dozens of goals is you have to look at each one and figure it out. I have given you two things to guide you and me now. Think about it. Not eating right? Is it making you the best you? Oops. Drinking or smoking too much? Does it make you the best you? Oops. Sitting at home? Does it share happiness? Oops. Find a path that shows others how committed you are to life, and life will give back, or you will be committed. I know it sounds to easy, in the end maybe it is.
So as the sun sets on another day, live, laugh, love, smile, giggle, be goofy, but be you. I know you make a difference, make it always, make it every day, and make the world yours, no matter what.
