The sun sets on another day…
I waited. We waited, they waited, and we waited.
Ever become a part of something hoping to help and then find you are not really needed?
Ever look at the world and see someone standing up trying to make it better?
Tonight I saw someone who dislikes being in front of the world stand up and do something, and as I sat in the back of the room watching for an event that never came, I was proud. Proud of how some people can go even further than they think they can. Proud of how people sometimes need to be heard. Just plain proud. I realized at that point that it was nice for me to be there, to be someone who could step in if necessary but even nicer that I saw a shining star shine, and make the world a better place.
I suggest you always be there when you need to, but sometimes it is best to not go further. Sometimes it is best to just be there if needed, waiting and watching, and if something happens, to be able to step in, but if not, to smile and just be proud.
So as the sun sets on another day, you don’t always have to be in front to be helpful, and you sometimes can help more just by being there. Find your place and know when to be what you need to be, and then make it happen, no matter what.
