The sun sets on another day…
Sunset is stunning. However at the last minute it prepared for tomorrows storms and disappeared in the clouds. That did not prevent me from appreciating it. It did not prevent me from enjoying the rest of the day.
I watched a funny video today. It can be seen here. I laughed hard, then didn’t think about it much until later. Ever have something that you set aside and come back to? I have done so with this video several times today. It has been a private little laugh from Kevin James, and a fun moment for many people. Why did I share it? Well, giving someone a smile or a laugh can be the best gift you can give. Sure, you can go for diamonds, cars, amazing toys and the like, but those are transient and fall away. Getting someone to laugh might be fleeting or it may be everlasting but it is always satisfying as it makes the world a better place.
It is with that in mind I challenge you to make someone laugh, yes you, you can do it. To that end I give you a link to an old joke, one that Eddie Murphy told a long long time ago. You can find it here, and tell it tomorrow, the next day, and often. Today I was laughing and being silly, and talking to people and showed the video, laughed a little, and smiled some more. I walked away (well, began working on another screen) feeling good and I hope they did as well. It is in moments that laughter abounds that life takes positive turns, we forge new friendships, inspire, become inspired, and find a way to the humanity that we most surely need today. You have your challenge, go forth and tell a joke, go forth and feel the power of laughter. Make the world your stage, and a carrot your microphone.
So as the sun sets on another day, the day wonderful and amazing, mostly because you are in it. The day wanes but our laughter will be heard ringing in the halls, echoing in the world, and lifting us all to a better place. Be part of the laughter, be part of the excitement, and have an outstanding day every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and giggle a little too…
