The sun sets on another day…
Todays sunset was, well, amazing. As always. There are so many sunsets and so many spectacular days that are enlightened because of them.
I was thinking a lot today about time. I know time is one of those things we should all pay attention to, but rarely do. Why? Why is it so hard to realize that the eternal NOW is all that we really have that we can count on? Why do so many people worry about tomorrow and know that there will be time for anything if we only wait until tomorrow. I know it is not a popular opinion, but if I have you try to prove the existence of tomorrow it will not happen. Why? Because it has not happened.
I was watching an old movie and the fortune teller stated “The future is always nonsense until it become the past” and as usual I laughed. (Pretty hard I may add) I laughed not because it was really funny but because it was so true that today is how we define tomorrow, but it is still not anything until it gets there. With that in mind I respectfully ask that you take a few minutes, enjoy them, and in the process make today count. Hug someone, play with a child, laugh with friends, do something that matters but stop waiting for tomorrow, it won’t ever be here. Make your mark today.
So as the sun sets on another day. Time passes. As the kids have grown up I wish I could spend more time with them and could have, but I know I worked hard to spend as much time with them as I could, and I know I am proud of them every day for what they have accomplished. Say the same, make a difference, and be happy every day, no matter what.
