the sun sets on another day…
Sunset was a spectacular mess of colors on the horizon, and I watched the light pass through the trees and make the leaves glow in shades of crimson. Too awesome!
Today I was driving on the road at a slightly better than speed limit speed and a golf ball bounced directly in front of me and headed on its way across into the median. I had never noticed that there was a golf course next to the interstate but I now saw that golf course, smiled, and kept driving.
Now here’s the question, I haven’t looked up how fast the golf ball normally travels but it is considerable or how fast I was traveling and it was considerable but what are the chances that that golf ball could come within two feet of the front of my vehicle without someone aiming? That is a problem in chaos math that is beyond belief. After all I didn’t choose which lane I was going to be in the ball had already bounced once and the irregularities in both the ball and in the ground below could have put that golf ball anywhere and instead it landed right in front of my truck. I’m pretty amazed.
I recently wrote about fate and not believing in the construct of faith but I am wondering today if I need to take up golf simply because the universe told me to. Either that or I need to take up dodgeball. Because if you can dodge a golf ball you could dodge a ball.
So as the sun sets on another day I’m enjoying the moments and I feel like the world is a massive math problem waiting to be solved. The only thing I wonder is if any of us have enough days in our lives to solve this math problem. Keep making the world yours everyday and maybe play a little golf. No matter what have fun doing it all.
Sleep sweet, love life, and four…
