The sun sets on another day…
Today the beach is again full as people try to get their last minutes of summer out in the 95 degree heat. To them, and to everyone enjoying the moment it is a wonderful life as the waves slide over them. It is hard to fathom the record temperatures here right now, but people are taking advantage of it just as they should.
Sometimes we need to take advantage of something that just happens upon us, and go with it. There can always be a certain amount of satisfaction in everything we do, if we just let it happen.
Take the song, “zip a dee do dah”. Are you the person that has immense satisfaction because there is a bluebird on your shoulder, or are you that person that is worried about it pooping on your shoulder and messing up your fine clothes. I would much rather be that person singing my heart out, and loving every moment and not worrying about the bluebird but realizing that it means there may well be plenty of sunshine, heading my way!
So as the sun sets on another day, take a moment, laugh, smile, be elated, or just realize that whether a bluebird, a lark, a robin, or a hawk lands on your shoulder it may well change you life and make it wonderful if only for a while. If it is a turkey, well, if it poops, it might be bad, but you still would be having fun, singing and laughing. Take a chance, dream a dream and live for love, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, smile when you can, and love to the moon and back and the stars beyond…
