The sun sets on another day…
It is a good day, a long day, well, it is cold, and wet, and icy, but that’s OK. The sunset was probably beautiful, but we could not see it as millions of tiny flakes fell on us and grew on the ground, and yes, there is a foot of snow on the ground.
For me, in life, it is all in how you look at it. We can see the snow falling and the cold and the pain it could bring, or we can get out the sleds and start pounding snow into submission and extracting fun all day. This afternoon I saw dozens of accidents. Most were small, and frustrating, with only a few larger ones that were less than pleasing. All in all, if people would just pay attention to each other, well, wrong subject.
The point is, you can decide to hate today, or love today, but it is and will be your decision. No one else has the power to decide for you, no one else can change who you are, that part is all you.
So as the sun sets on another day, take a moment. Survey the surrounding area, is it really that bad? I doubt it, I bet it is pretty awesome if you look at it a certain way. Maybe it is time to look at it, and turn the page from negativity. (maybe)
Sleep sweet, love life, and get out the sled…
