The sun sets on another day…
It could have been the worst sunset ever, it could have, would have, should have, but no, as a friend and I waited, we knew, there on the edge of the day sat a sunset waiting to happen. The clouds were thick and like a dark blanket, covering up all but the most minimal light. We watched and in the distance, far across the freshwater ocean, there was a clearing. We waited, we knew. Where usually there are dozens of photographers, there was a smattering, only a few, and even less with real cameras, most playing with their smartphones, hoping. Cars came and left while we waited, their patience not there,
This was a moment of patience, we waited, and suddenly the water was lit up like Christmas in, well, in December. We waited and watched. Slowly the sun worked it’s way down the horizon, and the sunset did not disappoint, it was awe inspiring. It was fantastic and amazing, and worth the wait.
Sometimes in life we are faced with long and short waits. Some people are quick to see what they think is a situation, make a decision and move on, some are very slow and pass the decision completely, while others see the possibilities, and wait patiently until what they want comes along. Now sometimes this is difficult, but usually, if you are paying attention, it is worth it. All I am trying to say is pay attention, and if there is a possibility for something, be patient. If there is not, move on.
So as the sun sets on another day, thanks for all the concern about my hand, I am fine. It was just a fun time last night. More than that, pay attention to how you proceed in life, if it is good, go with it, bad, find a way around, but if you pay attention remember patience sometimes pays off, and you could come out way ahead. Find happiness no matter what you do, and laugh the night away.
Sleep sweet, love life, and find your way each day…
