The crunchy kind…

The sun sets on another day…

Sometimes things just touch you. Like the sun setting in the west, bathing us all in a bit of sunshiny goodness! A great moment, a fantastic friend, playing in the park with kids, a salmon diner overlooking something special, listening to an amazing song, and maybe a sandwich with crunchy peanut butter. There are just those things that are special, no matter what.

We don’t always get to spend time with those special things as often as we wanted, or sometimes they go forward, move ahead, and we have to try to detect those things that are great before they get whipped. (For those of you who get that reference I pause here for more than a little laughter.)

It means a little more when someone you know does something for you that means a lot, like being a fantastic friend, taking you to the park to play, getting an impromptu salmon dinner, (or Wendy’s double cheese mayo ketchup mustard only), playing an amazing song, or making you a sandwich with crunchy peanut butter. I wonder how many people are out there that truly would do something special knowing that they may not be recognized for it. Moreover, how many people would do something special, knowing they would not be recognized or worse, would never see  that person again. (Lot’s of examples here, we will leave them to your imagination as that is always more fun)

Maybe we all need to take a step back, and enjoy our things and help others enjoy theirs. Yeah, that sounds good.

So as the sun sets on another day, enjoy your sandwich, but make someone else one when you can. Listen to that special song, but share your earbud or play it on a speaker, have a good dinner, but do it with special friends, and in the process, find a way to see and be more than you were yesterday, so you can be more tomorrow. It is easy if we try, so try and just start paying attention, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and yummy crunchy peanut butter…
