Just smile…

The sun sets on another day…

Wow. The world is a complex bunch of goop and the sun still rises and sets with absolute grace and beauty. I know I know, it does not try, but it works and in the process the idea of the sun setting with grace is just amazing. No matter how you slice it an amazing sunset should make you smile. Lots of people gather right now and watch the sunset, and most of them are smiling.

I have been looking at a list that is slowly being reviewed and revised that is for a child or children. It was meant for a daughter but I am revising it to fit either way because, well, it should not be much different. That reads, should not be. Today’s message is: “If you can’t smile with your eyes, don’t smile. Insincerity is nothing to aspire to.”

I considered this for quite a while last night when I had finished writing, and considered it more as I was working on my latest book.

Smiling with your eyes can be one of the most amazing gifts to someone you can ever give. Someone who truly smiles from inside will always be seen as sincere, and there is no easy way to fake it. Happiness, sadness, passion, despair, they all show in the eyes and as they do the people around you see more than just what is on the surface. They can see the mirror to your soul, those things called eyes in your head. It is important to let people know how you truly feel and not mislead them by mixed signals, and in doing so, find a way to make their day and your day even better. Sound easy?

Well, some people just don’t realize how they are really feeling inside. In spite of their happy demeanor their eyes can show a terrible toll. Maybe we just need to let a few things go and try to enjoy what life we have each day? Maybe, just maybe, we can let some of the other stuff go and our heart can sing each day land our eyes can show it.

So as the sun sets on another day, smile when you can, but really smile. I was once told to only do something if you mean it, well, find a way to mean it, and make each day your own, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and smile a little…
