Shhhhh….be vewy qwiet, I am hunting wabbits.
Well, really I am not, but I remember how you really had no choice to be lost in the moment, and yes, gt to be quiet in your own home as you listened.
It is an interesting idea, listening. Many people press to listen but don’t hear, and many people listen with other intentions. At the core of who we are is a need to be heard, at the core of who we are is a need for someone to listen to us.
Sure, there is droning going on all the time and a lot of people talk, and a lot of people listen, but where we fall there are many who never get heard because no one listens the way they should. An old commercial said “Nothing can capture someones attention like a whisper” but in my opinion “Nothing is more powerful than a listening ear.
Funny. Did you hear? Did you listen? Those questions echo all over in life, but we can only be responsible for ourselves as we turn to others and hear them. We need to not just listen, but hear what people are saying and react to it in an appropriate manner. After all, we want no less ourselves.
So as the sun sets on another day, listen, hear, and find a way to be more involved, and happier each day, find a way to be that person who listens, and turns what they hear to action, no matter what.
