The sun sets on another day…
I get a kick out of the world, literally. The wind and rain blow, and people smile, laugh, frown and cry, and in the end, it may get captured.
Today was an interesting day. People gathered everywhere with University colors on, laughing and smiling and being a little silly. The fall wind and temperatures traveled by, and the people were in heaven as they celebrated wins, losses, or soon to happens. All the while pictures were snapped, and memories made.
I think it is great when people make memories and have the forethought to take pictures. A lot of people get massively excited from moment to moment then look back later and smile about that moment and how they felt.
So what is your greatest moment? Think about the moments you have captured over time? The family dinner that made everyone smile? The tree trimming that was open to many and made people laugh? The friendly debate with a friend? The air hockey game that was memorable? A movie that was not? What things make you think back and be glad you were there, glad you were a part, and glad in life.
It is these captured moments that help us find our way in the present. We can laugh and push through anything, but I would like to think that the moments we ahve captured help us find new adventures and capture more. We vacation more, eat out at new place, watch new things, hike new places and generally find a way with a bit more gusto if we remember those captured moments and build on them. (No, not whine about them or get lost in them, build on them). So take a moment, take a deep breath, and remember, then open your eyes and make more!
So as the sun sets on another day, sometimes we capture moments that are good, sometimes great, and sometimes amazing. Those moments help us find new and more exciting memories. Embrace them, live them, love them and make more, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, laugh heartily, and make every day a day to remember…
