An eagles cry…

The sun sets on another day…

Home again. I worked and pressed before the rain, and got lost in the moments as I got yard, wood, and more completed. There never seems to be enough time. I was doing several things at once and suddenly I heard a screeching cry. As I looked up a majestic eagle circled, then dove somewhere in the woods and I stopped for a moment and smiled.

Sometimes something needs to shake us out of the long and tortuous world we are in. Sometimes there needs to be a cry from the skies that just makes us pause and realize the world is bigger than just what we are doing. We need to pay close attention, because, well, what we think is a mountain today, may well be a molehills tomorrow. Take the extra minute, smile, and laugh, and set aside the apprehensions, preconceived notions, and anxieties holding you back.

Today, as I worried about who to call next, what to do next, and all the things that have to be done, I heard that eagle, and I stopped, then got one thing done (I burned a lot of brush). Now it is on to the next challenge. Now i is a new focus and it to will fall.

So as the sun sets on another day, as the world pushes your head down there will be a call from the skies to raise up. Pay attention, know what is going on, and in the process realize how good you truly are at being you. No one else can do it. Then overcome your obstacles, whatever they are, and have a better day, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love life, and listen for the eagle…
