The sun sets on another day…
There it was. Another beautiful sunset, each day something new and each day fantastic. The yellows turn to orange, and then finally red and gray and suddenly it is the end of another day.
So I went for a trip down memory lane and watched The Ghost and Mr Chicken. It’s an old movie starring Don Knotts and as I watched there was an awkward beauty about it. I remembered the movie as a laugh fest but I saw it when I was in my teens. It still made me giggle over and over but a lot of it is that awkward giggling we do when something is silly and uncomfortable.
You know every day my view of life changes a little and I often wonder when I watch a movie like this how it helps me feel just a little different about everything. People are always different and in this movie you have everything from the bully to the chicken to the murderer and it makes for a lot of fun.
How did movies affect you growing up? Did they help you see the world a little better? Did books and movies change the way you saw the people around you?
So as the sun sets on another day, learn from everything. Set nothing aside. Find a pathway that teaches you constantly. In the end everything will be wonderful, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and Don Knotts wins…
