The sun sets on another day
I was impressed. The sunset came and the lake shimmered with anticipation. The waves were lapped with golden light that became molten red. In a world full of light and life the sunset defined by color and character became awesome.
I was surrounded by unique and amazing people today. These people are the Pinnacle of persuasiveness and sometimes are a little over the top, what am I talking about? Pet owners.
In this case it was specifically dog owners and I was at a walk that included over 30 booths of vendors and a ton of people with their dogs. They were ready, they were prepared, they were all happy to be at an event that was more than just for them, but also included their furry companions.
Dog owners are often unique. In this particular case I watched with pepper as people walked past and was fascinated by the interactivity between their animals and other people. Of course there are lots of people whose dogs are not necessarily meant for events like this, but in this case all of the people were ready to jump in and be excited about life and all of the dogs were even more ready to jump in and just be excited.
There’s something special about the bond between human and animal and I watched as people showered their pets with affection and I was amazed at the affection I saw. This was a good thing.
The highlight of the day was a group of dogs that were there to entertain. They were trained to the T and did numerous tricks including one Whip It border collie mix that had entertained at the Super Bowl. This fantasticness made me smile, made me laugh, and made me wonder why I’m not spending more time with pepper teaching her all of these things. I watched as frisbee after frisbee jumps through the air and the overstimulated canine did flips and jumps and twists to ensure that they had the frisbee only to give it back to the watchful trainer. It was just wow.
Do you have a bond with animals? Do animals give you Joy? Have you found your way ever and felt the depth of joy that an animal can give.
So as the sun sets on another day, every once in awhile you have to do a good walk with your dog, so why not do it with about 700 other people. I hope that your day was amazing and that as you pass in tonight there are nothing but good times. And if you love your animals, I hope you treat them well always, no matter what.
