The sun sets on another day…
Another beautiful day. The crisp morning air made me think a field was full frost, but is seemed to warm, as I looked it was full of thousands and thousands of small flowers and small little sticks and shoots, and I smiled for a moment at the thought of my impressions.
Each day we add new things to our memories and we are the sum of thousands upon thousands of memories. As we grow we learn more and more, or at least I hope we do, and in the process we slowly begin to understand that life is pretty complex. If we look at the surface of any person they may appear to be one thing or another, but as we look deeper it is only natural to find that there are thousands and thousands of layers of each and every person.
So as we walk into a room as see a ____, (Insert your favorite person descriptor here) we need to understand that they are more than just a ______ (Use the same descriptor) they are instead the culmination of a lot more that we are seeing. After all, I saw ice when there were flowers because from a distance, that is exactly what it was, ice. In reality, I needed to look closer.
So as the sun sets on another day, what’s my moral? Simple. Don’t judge a book by its cover, or a person by your first few seconds of an impression. Everyone has a story, and only they know theirs, be patient, humble, kind, and understanding and then make a determination. If it is the same, super, if not, maybe you jsut learned something. Keep an open mind in the end, no matter what.
