The sun sets on another day…
I have said many times I talk to a lot of people. One thing I have always thought peculiar is the Sunday woes and Friday fatalists.
If we only have 29000 sunsets or so, every day is a gift. Yes, we have to work, well, I have to work and a lot of people have to work and maybe someone doesn’t have to work, but they are probably in the south of France or the Cayman’s right now and I happily excuse them from this not quite generalization.
The others, who become overwhelmed by Sunday leading to “oh no” Monday, well, it is time to set that aside and have some fun! Let’s make Sunday a Sunday and leave the precognitive sadness behind! Let;’s make Sunday a day when we can do, and will do, everything we can to squeeze the life out of the day and ignore the potential silliness that abounds in their world, in favor of fun Sundays.
Personally, I like Sunday. I get to sleep late if I can. I get to take more pictures, I get Sunday breakfast and a lot more. When my kids were young Sunday was the day of “Big Breakfast”. Big breakfast was when I got out the waffle iron and the massive collection of omelette pans and made breakfast for everyone. No one went away hungry and everyone got to talk, play, laugh, and be a part of the family on Sundays. Isn’t that something worth doing? At least consider it.
So as the sun sets on another wonderful Sunday, remember each day is a gift, and you are gifted right now. Make today special, and laugh all you can along the way, no matter what!
