Run away…

The sun sets on another day…

It was a good day, better than most, less than some and as the sun set, well, it was dark and cloudy. That did not mean that during the day there wasn’t a lot of fun chasing birds.

Today we went to the treatment plant looking for the elusive snow owl. As we did it was obvious the birds had seen us coming. They were nowhere to be found. As we passed a bend though a bald eagle was flying right at us. It is funny to see this as from the distance it looks almost unreal. Your mind is not used to seeing a bigger bird heading towards you and somehow you start trying to second guess your distance perspectives only to see that yep, that is a big bird. Yes, your senses can be fooled.

I have thought a lot about senses over the past several days, and posted about it yesterday, but I think we need to really start determining how we think as a community. It is my opinion that sometimes thinking goes out the window, and emotion takes over. For many today if they had seen the eagle heading to them maybe it was time to lock the doors, but for us, we managed to grab cameras and get a few shots of the tail end of a magnificent animal. Then again, we also found the snow owl, and he was so far away he looked like a blip.

So as the sun sets on another day, a successfully unsuccessful day? Maybe, but maybe this day was a huge success because it was good discussions in a warm truck looking for adventure. Have you found your adventure? Start looking and find it today and every day, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love often, and keep having fun…
