The sun sets on another day…
Imagine with me for a moment. There you are, having fun and wanting the Carrot Cake on the menu so bad you can taste it. Yummy. Then the server returns to say “Sorry, she got the last piece”. You are looking at the world through Carrotcakeless eyes. Everything is about to go dark. The Carrot Cake two tables over may be the cause for world war 3, right? After all you are armed with a knife and a fork. Wars have started with less. The tension is out of control, the Carrot Cake is screaming your name! “Eat me!” it calls and then, Ice Cream shows up to the table with 3 cherries and some chocolate sauce, and though its not Carrot Cake, it is yummy.
Most people have been here. Wanting something so bad that it hurts, and then getting something else. sometimes it is not that bad to get a little less. Sometimes we just have to play the hand we have been dealt. When we do, we can sit down and have our yummy repast and enjoy it! We need to let go, and maybe, just maybe the Carrot Cake will show up sometime.
So as the sun sets on another day, take a moment and be happy for the 3 cherries and chocolate sauce, and enjoy your evening, no matter what.
